Planning a yacht trip in Abu Dhabi can raise practical questions about booking, marinas, food and what is included. We have answered the things customers most often need help with. If your question is not covered here, contact MALA Yachts and our team will help you work it out.
Birthday, wedding, proposal and corporate questions stay on those Abu Dhabi pages, so you get answers that match the occasion.
Yes, tourists are welcome. Bring the identification requested in your booking confirmation, usually a valid passport or Emirates ID. If you are unsure what applies to your group, message us before the trip and we will confirm it for you.
We recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead. During peak season (October–March), book 1–2 weeks early to secure your preferred yacht. If your date is closer, still contact us — we will check what can genuinely be arranged.
Sometimes. Same-day bookings depend on yacht, crew and preparation availability. Contact MALA Yachts as early as possible and we will check the options that can realistically be prepared in time.
Yes. You can arrange the booking before you travel. Share your date, group size and plans with our team and we will guide you through the suitable options and confirmation steps remotely.
Most yachts require a minimum booking of 2 hours. Some smaller boats offer 1-hour trips for quick sightseeing or fishing. We will confirm the minimum for the yacht you choose before you book.
Your booking confirmation should identify the yacht you selected. If an unexpected operational or technical issue affects that yacht, MALA Yachts will contact you, explain the available options and discuss any proposed change with you before proceeding. Browse the Abu Dhabi fleet to see the yachts available.
It may be possible if the yacht has no immediate booking afterwards and the crew can accommodate the extension. Ask as early as possible; any extra time and cost should be confirmed before the extension is agreed.
Often, if the change is still practical. Guest count, timing, catering, decoration and other requests can affect yacht suitability, preparation time and cost. Contact your planner as soon as possible and we will explain what can be changed. If the change affects your total, check our refund and cancellation terms.
Yes, you can typically cancel or reschedule, but exact terms depend on how close you are to the departure date. Read the refund and cancellation policy and message us if you need the rule confirmed for your booking.
Yes. We arrange birthday, proposal, corporate and wedding charters in Abu Dhabi. Decorations, catering and entertainment can be added where the yacht and marina allow. See the dedicated pages for birthdays, weddings, proposals and corporate events.
Bring the identification requested in your booking confirmation, usually a valid passport or Emirates ID. Guest details may also be required before boarding. If anything is unclear, message us before you travel to the marina.
Plan to arrive around 15–30 minutes before your scheduled departure. This gives you time to find the berth, complete final checks and board without using part of your booked charter time.
Bring sun protection, sunglasses or a hat, and swimwear if swimming is part of your plan. Keep any personal medication or essentials with you. If you have a special requirement, ask us before the trip and we will tell you what is already onboard and what you should bring yourself.
Yes, many elderly guests enjoy yacht trips. The key is choosing a vessel with suitable boarding access, shade, seating and onboard facilities. Tell us about any mobility concerns in advance and we will help shortlist a more comfortable option.
Your booking covers the yacht, licensed captain, crew, fuel, safety equipment, life jackets, and basic refreshments such as water and soft drinks. Extra catering, decoration or entertainment is quoted separately when you request it.
Yes. Abu Dhabi yacht rentals include a licensed captain and crew. This keeps the trip safe and in line with Coast Guard requirements.
Capacity depends on the yacht. The Abu Dhabi fleet ranges from smaller yachts for a handful of guests through to larger vessels for bigger groups. Tell us your guest count and we will recommend a suitable yacht from the Abu Dhabi fleet.
Facilities vary by yacht. Many enclosed yachts have an onboard restroom, while showers are available only on some vessels. If either is important to you, tell us before booking and we will confirm it for the exact yacht.
Some yachts have one or more cabins, while others are designed mainly for daytime cruising. Cabin access can also vary by package or event setup. Tell us whether you need a private cabin, changing space or overnight accommodation and we will recommend accordingly.
Many enclosed yachts have air-conditioned indoor areas, while fully open boats do not. If air conditioning matters to your group, we will confirm the indoor and outdoor spaces of the exact yacht before you book.
Charging points are available on many yachts, but socket type and availability can vary. If charging is essential, ask us to confirm it for your yacht and consider bringing a charged power bank as backup.
Outside food and drinks are permitted on select smaller yachts for groups of up to 5 guests. For larger groups, events and mega yacht charters, we recommend our onboard catering packages, which work better for bigger gatherings. Confirm the rule for your yacht when you book.
Yes. Live cooking stations and BBQ setups are available as add-ons. Prices are shared during booking based on your menu preferences and group size.
We operate from Yas Marina, Corniche and Al Bateen Marina. Your departure point depends on your chosen route and package. We send the meeting point with your confirmation.
Yes, swimming stops are available during daylight hours only. Summer swimming ends at 7:00 pm, winter at 5:30 pm. We anchor at safe spots such as Lulu Island when conditions allow.
Safety comes first. If weather conditions are unsafe, we will contact you to reschedule for a later date that suits you and suggest alternative dates.
Open the Abu Dhabi yacht route map for hourly cruise routes. Journey times depend on the marina, yacht speed and sea conditions, so treat published times as planning guides rather than guarantees.
Please ask us. Many requests can be arranged when we know about them early enough, while others depend on the yacht, marina, supplier, safety or event rules. Tell your planner what you are trying to achieve and we will either confirm the arrangement or explain the closest practical alternative.
