Standard Cancellation Policy
The following charges apply to all standard yacht charters, dinner cruises, water sports, and other yacht bookings with Mala Yachts.

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing via WhatsApp or email before the scheduled departure time.
Special Event & Weekend Bookings
Bookings made for special event dates and weekend sailings carry stricter terms. Please read these carefully before booking.
Non-Refundable Bookings:
- All bookings on Friday and Saturday are non-refundable once confirmed
- Special event date bookings are fully non-refundable, regardless of notice period
Special event dates include, but are not limited to:
- New Year’s Eve
- Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha
- UAE National Day
- Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend
- Any other designated peak event dates
We strongly recommend booking these dates only when you are certain of your plans.
Weather & Operational Cancellations
Your safety is our priority. If Mala Yachts cancels your booking due to bad weather or vessel engine failure, you will receive a full refund. No charges apply when the cancellation is our decision and not yours.
- Bad weather cancellation by Mala Yachts: full refund issued
- Engine failure or vessel unavailability: full refund issued
- Weather reschedule: available on request, subject to availability
Deposit Policy
All bookings require a 50% deposit at the time of confirmation. Browse our yachts to choose your preferred vessel before booking.
The remaining balance is due before the sail commences. No credit facilities are available on board.
The deposit amount may be negotiated in some cases at the time of booking. Please discuss this with our team via WhatsApp 056 115 7422 before confirming.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 14 working days of the cancellation confirmation. Refunds are issued via the original payment method only.
- Credit or debit card payments — refunded to the same card
- Bank transfer payments — refunded to the originating account
- Cash payments — refunded via bank transfer or cash, subject to agreement
Please note that Mala Yachts does not operate a swipe machine on board. All pending payments must be settled before the sail commences.
How to Cancel Your Booking
To cancel your booking, contact us before your scheduled departure time. Late cancellations or no shows after departure time have passed are charged at 100%.
